So I saw this cute little tag over on Becky's blog, Milk Bubble Tea, and thought it looked like a laugh. I really enjoyed (and related to!) Becky's post, so I hope you'll enjoy this one, and let me know in the comments below if you do one of these too! I tag ALL OF YOU!
  1. I didn't own a foundation until the age of 23. Yup. I had always had reasonably good skin but, my God, in retrospect? I really needed a foundation. At the very least some tinted moisturizer. Maybe just a better skincare routine.
  2. For some reason, as a chubby (and by chubby I mean really quite overweight) teenager, I decided I wanted a Neve Campbell-esque chop, and let a trainee hairdresser do this to me. Now, I have nothing against trainee hairdressers in general, but this one hacked at my head like she was shearing a sheep, and when my mum saw me she went white. I think that about summates the experience. I don't think I realized until I saw it retrospectively, but it was baaaaaaad.
  3. I used to sleep in my make up all the time. This was another one that went right up until the early twenties. Terrible...
  4. ... And I still sometimes (eek) practice the awful habit of picking off my mascara. I know. I shudder as I type it.
  5. I also bite dead skin off of my lips. I literally cannot even fathom why I am typing this. Disgusting.
  6. I cannot for the life of me do hair. I can't even plait. It's not something I'm proud of, I just physically lack the co-ordination for it. And I'm always so jealous of girls with tresses worthy of Game of Thrones.
  7. I pick at my nail varnish too. I CLEARLY HAVE PROBLEMS LEAVING THINGS ALONE.
  8. I have never fake tanned.
  9. I sometimes forget the SPF when heading into sunshine (shameful) because I figure 'well, I'm half Arabic, I don't burn, and I lived in Dubai for 20 years'. WRONG ATTITUDE. I'm quite strict with myself now. Even in winter!!
  10. I only ever spot-clean my brushes. DISGRACEFUL.
I really, really didn't realize I was such a scab until I wrote this post (remember that expression?). Anyway, I hope it has afforded you all a good laugh, I'm going to go and cower in shame now...
