There are few things I look forward to more than a well-earned chance to relax, kick back and indulge in myself a little. Seeing as I'll be turning the grand old age of 25 on Sunday (eek!), I decided this weekend would be devoted to pampering, preening and appreciating the little things. Namely, a blissful manicure with one of Essie's new summer shades (more on that later!) and a long hot soak in the tub with a little YouTube fest on my propped-up iPhone. I can't be the only one that does that, right?

The products pictured above have been my choice bevvy of bathing beauties for this particular sesh - a Soap and Glory scrub which I can only describe as perfect smelling, the much-blogged about 'The Breakfast Scrub' which is a maple-syrup doused brown-sugar based scrup with a hint of milky creaminess about it. Divine. I get to working on the dry elbows and nobbly knees with this bad boy and step out of my lather silky smooth. Winner winner, chicken dinner.

Next up, a facial exfoliator from Sasy n Savy - an Australian skincare brand that I got familiar with whilst working at Good Housekeeping Middle East. As far as I know their products aren't available here (sorry!) but I will say, this is a great one for when you feel like there's a lot of build up on troublesome areas (for me, it's my forehead and around my nose - lush). It's a touch too harsh to use on my cheeks and in general I try to stay away from manual exfoliators, but when I need it this gives me a minty fresh, tingling clean feeling.

A mid-week trip to Lush resulted in a purchase of two cheeky little bath bombs which inspired this whole post - the yellow coloured, larger of the two being Honey Bee and the other being Butterball, which was recommended to me. The latter is a vanilla scented relaxing soak containing cocoa butter which I can't wait to melt into as I write this, and for a measly £2.45, who could argue with that? Honey Bee, my pick, I knew would be right up my street from the get-go. Soothing honey, aloe and rassoul mud? I'll take two.

Everyone deserves a little weekend wind-down - what are your favourite products to relax with? Have you got a fave Lush bath bomb or one to recommend? Let me know in the comments below!
