Yep, time to roll out another 'Tami is late to the party' wagon of beauty blogger-hyped products - today, in 2014, I'm about to tell you why you need the Caudalie Beauty Elixir. Feel free to insert eye rolls and copious head-shaking in my direction - I know this is a given. It's Hirons-approved (choirs singing), almost every beauty blogger worth his or her salt has one in their on-the-go skincare stash, and this little baby is heralded as the quick-spritz do it all. Make up refresher, hydrating toner, panic soother? The Beauty Elixir could do it all. So naturally, I was a little skeptical about it. I was my own person! I had my own opinions! I didn't jump when every other blogger was asking 'how high?'

Then I got an Ncentive from Space NK, and caved anyway.

Truth be told, I wasn't sure at first. Sprayed directly on to my skin, the Caudalie Beauty Elixir did some trippy things to my skin. There was no doubt it brought a certain glowy, refreshed look to it (that'd be the orange blossom and glycerin in it), but if I even got this near my lips or the skin around my mouth, it would sting like crazy. After since being informed about its alcohol content by the lovely Kelly from Secondhand Spring, I put two and two together and decided my dry-prone skin might be a little hyper sensitive to that. So, undeterred, I attempted to fit this in post-cleanse, pre-moisturise, on a cotton pad, applied to my cheeks, chin and T-zone area.

And then the angels sang.

This fits in amazingly as a hydrating and refining toner, and I'm really enjoying including it in my skincare regimen every morning and night. It feels nice to have finally 'cracked' this step (although, Pixi Glow Tonic - I'm coming for you!) and while I might not be able to use the Caudalie Beauty Elixir as a make-up refresher, I'm perfectly happy to use this as a toning step and have grown to love its refreshing scent. And, as a word between me and my readers - my boyfriend has grown quite accustomed to using this bad boy on any breakouts he has! I know, I've created a monster...

Have you used the Caudalie Beauty Elixir? Do you use it as a toner, too? What did you think?
