Being at home with family means a total break, and that includes one for my skin! A family lunch today meant an excuse to pretty myself up a little (read: bare minimum) and as it was such a sunny day, I really wanted to keep everything simple, feminine and understated - just how spring looks should be!

My version of a 'no make up make up' went a little something like this: Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum in 051 Vanille Clair blended all over as a base using my Real Techniques Expert Face brush. For pinpoint and undereye concealing, I reached for my trusty Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in Vanilla. I grabbed my Naked Basics palette and as always used Faint to fill in my brows, whilst using W.O.S. as an all-over my eyelid wash of colour, with a little Naked 2 blended through the crease. I tapped Venus really lightly onto my browbone and the tops of my cheekbones as a subtle highlight. Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Exposed was dusted onto the apples of my cheeks and blended upwards for a natural flush. I put on one fine coat of my Volume de Chanel mascara on my top lashes only, and finished off the look with my Revlon Colourburst Matte Balm in Elusive patted onto my lips for a barely-there colour.

As always with these looks - a 'blank canvas' requires quite a bevvy of products! What are your go-tos for 'no make up make up' days?

  1. You look so lovely! I stick to concealer, brown eyeliner in the tight line, and some sheer-pinky lipstick for my no makeup makeup looks. I keep meaning to try the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer, I hear so many good things about it.

  3. You look gorgeous my dear! I always find it ironic how much make up 'minimal' make up looks actually require! I love all those products you listed for a natural look, though sadly Australia as usual is late to the game and we don't have the Revlon matte balms yet but I am so looking forward to them, that colour looks great on you!
