#OxMeet was my first blogger event so, naturally, I had a few butterflies in my tummy before the day. I think everyone, even if you're long out of school, still feels that 'will they like me?' fear when meeting a new group of people! Luckily, this blogger meet had been organized by my good friend Ren, from Late Night Nonsense, who'd been working tirelessly on this event for a good month before it ever came to be! I don't think the pictures above quite tell how hard she worked - have you ever packed, transported and lugged 20 bags full of beauty bumf whilst trying to co-ordinate an event for a bunch of lovely ladies? Yeah. Well. Take it from me - the woman is a saint!

The day started off with a huddle meet-and-greet and some lunch at Wagamamas, which was delish as usual. We all sort of got chatting and got stuck in right away, really! Business as usual for us bloggers and plenty of iPhones were whipped out for a bit of Insta-mealing (guilty as charged). We were then ferried to Crabtree & Evelyn, where the ladies in-store had put on a little mani-pamper station alongside a hand massage counter, which was heavenly. I was lucky enough to have my nails painted with the Crabtree & Evelyn polish in the colour 'Sky' - I was actually pretty impressed with how well the polish went on, and its pretty pigment! You can see the results over on Ren's post of the day.

Post C&E it was time for a coffee pitstop at Costas for a recharge, before we headed to Lush for a special evening of dedicated pampering! The ladies at Lush Oxford (Kim, Tilly and... ohmygodIwanttosayLaura) had put on the most amazing spread for us - it was a rose-themed night, so we each received a rose-themed goodie bag, and were treated to vegan rose cupcakes, rose lemonade, and individual skincare consultations and colour consultations! The ladies really went all out for us, and I'm pretty sure every girl attending felt like a princess by the end. I got to sit down for a consultation with the goddess that was Kim, who gave me a good talking to about some delish products I could take home and try on my poor parched, sensitive skin. That's another post for another day - but suffice it to say, it was awesome!

I also really loved learning about the thesis behind Lush's 'Emotional Brilliance' range - the make up is based on colour therapy, and when taken through the 'colour wheel' you pick the colours you naturally respond to - one based on your strength, one based on what you feel you need, and one based on what you need to employ more in your own life. My words were, ambition, calm and focus. I cannot tell you how accurate this was!!! The girls mentioned that there had been a few criers at this type of reading and I can definitely see how - amazing form of therapy!

If you'd like to see a little more of the day, don't forget to check out my vlog of it here!

All in all it was a magical day and I'm still enjoying giggling with these girls over Twitter and Instagram comments. I'll look forward to the next time, girls - let's plan something soon, please? #OxMeet2.0?

The amazing girls: Ren, Mo, Asha, Hannah, Steph, Hatty, Rachel, Grace, Jess, Sarah, Ellie, Kelly, Jess, Katy, Danielle, Samantha
