You may remember a while back I posted asking for your recommendations for eye creams. Each was filed, weighed up, and muchly appreciated, but ladies and gents - we have a winner.

Allow me to wax lyrical about this product one more time. This eye cream impressed me so much that it made it into my March Favourites - the same month that I purchased the thing! So deep was my love for it, and so instant. Let me paint you a picture.

Before this eye cream, I couldn't really wear eye shadow or mascara without worrying about having itchy, dry eyes the day after. For someone that has developed quite a love for the smokey stuff, this was pretty devastating as you can imagine. I tried in vain to find an eye cream that worked - the partner to my Emma Hardie cleansing balm was a dud, the REN Eye Gel I received with my Space NK goodie bag was great for soothing my eyes, but didn't do enough to hydrate them. Enter the Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment. Angels sing.

This stuff soothes, hydrates and nourishes the skin around my eye, to the point where the skin around the contours of my eye socket is the softest its ever been. If I skip this treatment for more than a day (I apply this morning and evening), my skin around that area starts feeling tight and itchy again. I've come to the conclusion that for me, this is Holy Grail stuff. I hope we're never parted.

The cream goes on thick, takes a few minutes to sink in but does so soon enough that it's not annoying to apply make up over. It feels rich and nourishing (enter avocado) but doesn't really have a scent and isn't too thick that you feel like you're applying butter to your face. All-in-all, it's like baby bear's porridge - just right.

You can pick up the Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment for £20 at Space NK, John Lewis, Kiehl's - all over the place really! There's no excuse not to give this baby a whirl. I hope you guys love it as much as I do!

What's your eye cream of choice? Have you used the Kiehl's one? What did you think?

  1. I've heard so many AMAZING things about this! For the moment, I'm not terribly in need of a hardcore eye cream, but will definitely keep this in mind for the future :)
