I thought I'd break down what a 'seasonal rotation' actually looked like for me today. These swapsies-style posts are always my favourite come this time of year, with beautiful photography and a stunning edit of products which all hop onto my wishlist before I know it. And who doesn't love a bit of wishlist building?

BASE: At this time of year, I trade in lighter bases like my Diorskin Nude BB Cream in 002, and my Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser in Nude for something a little higher coverage - and if there's a built in SPF? Even bigger bonus. I reach for my YSL Touche Eclat in BR30 during these months - I like that there's a little pink-tint to this base, as my skin loses all trace of yellow tones during the winter months, bless its pale little self. I'm also in the market for a more medium coverage winter base - L'Oreal True Match maybe? Or, if I really feel like a splurge, a little NARS Sheer Glow... Recommendations, anyone?

SCENT: Love of my life Elizabeth & James Nirvana White is the most beautiful, light, feminine fragrance - but I like to switch to something a little deeper and more spicy for the colder months. Enter Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir, my match made in perfume heaven. It smells of everything warm and sexy and sweet, and makes me excited for Christmas. I'm looking forward to wearing it alone (it lingers for hours on my clothes in the best way) or layered as a base note - potentially under Nirvana White?

EYES: Much loved over summer, my Milani ShadowEyez saw me through many a last-minute or on-the-go make up dilemma - the easiest smudged out smokey eye, that even I can handle - in a moving bus no less! Now that the colder weather has given us the luxury of time indoors to beautify, I'm harking back to my MAC Paint Pots in Constructivist and Eclair - both dark brown cream shades which make beautiful bases to build on, or a one-shade smokey eye. Constructivist is more of a true brown, mauve-based shade, where Eclair is a reddier brown with a lot of gold in the colour, especially when blended out. Both are absolutely stunning and I'm so looking forward to using them again!

LIPS: We've all heard it before, autumn comes - enter Kate Moss for Rimmel #107. Other rotations I'm enjoying are Rimmel Moisture Renew in Notting Hill Nude and Revlon Colourstay Matte Balm in Elusive for more dusky, cooler-toned neutrals for these chilly months.

CHEEKS: A simple and astute swap - Tarte Tipsy for Exposed. This tawny brown-toned nude is autumn cheeks personified. Not only does the colour bring warmth AND contour to the face (say whaaa), it somehow manages to pitch the perfect pinched cheek to go with any make up look - even a pillarbox red lip. Consider your world rocked.

Just like layering up clothes, I pay a little more attention to my make up in these months - I just think there's so much more to do, you know? Bitten berry-stained lips and rich russet eyeshadows? Sign me up!

Would you guys like to see my skincare swaps next? Are you as excited for autumn as I am?
