A little over a month ago I mentioned a gift-with-purchase offer from Space NK that was so good, it lured me out of my Spendless September commitments... So you know it was srs bznz. My weak willpower aside, this was a really vast, well-curated selection of samples - some of which had been on my 'to try' list for some time. It was a no-brainer - I had to has. So, well into the trialing period of these products, I thought I'd mention the 'standouts' that have really caught my attention so far.

First up, the Sarah Chapman Skinesis Anti-ageing Day Cream SPF 15. Sarah Chapman is a line I've been wanting to try from since... oh, forever, and this cream definitely didn't disappoint. I don't know about anti-ageing, but after putting this on on a no make-up Sunday and catching a reflection of myself later in the day, I can honestly say the noise I made was something like 'dayuuuuuuum'. This is your face on an EXCELLENT skin day. Soft, plumped and glowing - I almost didn't recognise myself!

The REN Flash Rinse 1 Minute Facial had piqued my interest some time ago after getting a lot of hype in the blogger world and, after using it, I know the hype was real. I've never had a facial, but if they're even half as zingy and awakening as this guy, I'm in. This smells citrus-y, feels incredible on the face and whilst I'm not exactly sure what it does, my skin feels really awake and happy for using this.

Some products are just *angel song* and there are no other adjectives that will work, and this is one of them. The Sisley Black Rose Cream Mask is a fave of Karima from Shameless Fripperies (who, if you don't know her, is a BABE), and I can totally see what she loves about it. Plump, juicy and hydrated skin in a bottle, my face has been drinking this stuff up lately now that the colder weather has arrived. I can't say enough good things about it, but this should be testament enough - this has replaced Origins Drink Up Intensive as my hydrating mask of choice. Nuff said. Let's just try not to think about the fact that it's NINETY-FIVE POUNDS, 'kay?

That baby little pot of pink goodness? A teeny, weeny By Terry Baume de Rose - something I strongly suspected I would hate. I'm not a rose-scented girl, but I'd long heard about how fantastic this lip balm is and wanted to try it out for myself. I'm so glad I did, because although I might not be crazy about the scent of this (it is super rose-y), I've come to love this thick, nourishing balm, and nothing else is keeping my lips happy and chap-free this winter.

This post should really have been titled 'The One Where Tami Finds Out Roses Are Actually Cool', because hot damn, I have another rose-scented pick for you. The Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist might seem like an 'unnecessary step', but this toner/mist is absolutely stunning post-cleanse, for calming any redness and soothing skin before applying serums and moisture. It's also amazing for a make up refresher, bringing any dewiness back to skin that might have dried out in the chilly air. Love this.

Did any of you try the Space NK Beauty Anthology GWP? What are your travel-sized must haves?

  1. These little samples are so cute, but would still be worth a load of money haha! The sisley mask sounds DIVINE but gawd so expensive. I really want to try the Sarah Chapman range too, I've heard nothing but raves!
