Now that we're over halfway through January, hopefully we can leave all the 'New Year, New You' and resolution-y garb behind, and focus on cutting our teeth on the year itself. I recently took some time away from this little corner of the internet to spend the holidays with family, do some thinking, and 'get offline' some. One of the things I wanted to throw myself into coming back was this blog - shaping it further, honing my content and really locking down a schedule for delivering posts to you guys in a reliable way.

I'm not going to make this the 10,000th post on blogging with a full time job - newsflash: it's difficult. And with a new job coming up soon (squeal), I can't see anything easing up in the near future. Which left me with two options: radio silence, or getting a plan - sharpish.

Which brings me to this - a new regime I'm going to try my hardest to stick to. The loose (and that really is the operative word here) structure I worked with last year was posting Monday, Wednesday, with a video on Friday. This worked out for a little while but when things got busy? Yeah. It fell apart.

So after a little deliberation, I think I'm proposing a new idea - which actually works out to more content. I know. What am I thinking, right?! My plan is: a new post Monday, Wednesday AND Friday, with a video every Sunday. We'll see how long the romance lasts, but I'm optimistic!

I hope the new year is treating you well, that you have plenty to look forward to to keep you focused, and that the January blues haven't gotten to you (post to follow, in case you're struggling with winter!). Wrap up warm and stay well! I look forward to seeing more of you all.

  1. Good luck with your plan! I've been trying for much the same this year, and a good thing for me has been to mix up two posts that are fairly quick to write/photograph with a couple that take a little longer. I try to work on my posts for an hour or so a day and schedule them ahead if I can, and also have a big notebook of ideas at the ready. Looking forward to reading more posts from you xx

    1. Thank you so much Siobhan - it was actually your blog, amongst a couple of others, that really inspired me :) I'm definitely interested in varying my content more and keeping things 'alive', instead of just bumbling along with a stayed formula. Thanks so much for your thoughtful comment and for reading - it means the world! T xx

    1. You SO CAN!!! I think blogging doesn't have to be so *scheduled* for everyone but I just know myself - if I don't have some kind of structure, I won't commit. And I really want to commit! Largely because of babes like you, duh. Thank you for always reading and commenting, beaut. T xx
