Happy New Year to all my beautiful readers. If you've been 'round these parts for a while, you might remember that at the beginning of last year I chose an intention word for 2014. That word was 'grace' and, all things considered, I think it worked pretty well for me. It was a year which helped me get my anxiety more under control and saw me mature in many ways, both professionally and personally.

This year, two words were floating around - 'strength' and 'simplicity'. I wanted to get stronger, both physically and emotionally, but I was also in love with the idea of getting rid of excess in 2015 and really paring back to the things that matter to me most. Long story short, simplicity won out, so for this year I intend to:
- simplify my own life through my actions, thoughts and plans
- remove anything/anyone from my life that isn't helpful/adding benefit to me/my long-term goals
- clarify my mission within myself and my work

It might all sound a little strange, but I found having a word to fall back upon a lot more helpful than the 10,000th resolution I wouldn't keep. How about you? What is your wish for 2015?

  1. I'm all about simplicity too nowadays, I'm also trying to declutter my life (materially and spiritually). You should read The Minimalists (www.theminimalists.com) if you haven't already. They're like a Bible in this topic.
Hope your goals (or goal!) come true!
