I am so happy to reach Friday this week. Not because it has dragged, or been particularly hard going, mostly because I just feel exhausted. And I'm thinking the exhaustion is manifesting itself in some wicked neck and shoulder tension, which is really bumming me out seeing as I'm (triumphantly) at Day 17 of Yoga with Adriene's #30DaysofYoga, but having this pain and tension is really hindering any time I want to practice. Just hanging out in downward-facing dog is pretty painful. GUH. Anyways.

This week has been filled with tension - waiting on appraisal comments at work, the want/need to go to the gym vs. total exhaustion at the end of the work day - J has even been suffering with tension headaches, which ROYALLY suck. I'm hoping they adios themselves for the weekend. Yoga has really been helping, but I'm still not sure what my body wants from me. Maybe I just need a bumper sleep. Do you guys ever do that? Once, when I was super sick a few years back, I slept for TWELVE. HOURS. I woke up a new woman.

I hope you guys have had a harmonious week and are looking forward to a restorative weekend. I know I am. And if you have any tips for neck/shoulder tension please let me know in the comments!

Vanessa straight up cracks me up most days, but this take on 'disappointing products' had me tittering away in my office like a loser. STOP BEING SO HILAR PLZ.

Talking of showing myself up in the office, last Friday I sobbed my way through Blackfish. Has everyone seen this?! Can someone talk to me about it?! I have so many feelings and I feel like everyone I talk to either hasn't seen it or recognises the fact that I am WAY late to the party with this.

I've loved Jessica's style since we met last year at #OxMeet - this girl gives new meaning to 'chic'. Her blog just underwent a stellar redesign, and I've loved this post on her workspace. Interiors inspo for dayyyyyyys.

I'm really, really sad to say this - I hate the new Mumford & Sons song. Hate it. WHY GO ELECTRIC. WHY. But enough negative, I listened to the new Deathcab songs this week and it remedied all of my angst. I've missed you, Ben.

Another long-term love of mine? Tenneil. Just everything about her, but I've particularly loved her post on her fave red lippies. That girl's taste + bold lips = very happy Tami.

Photos of the new Jo Malone Blue Skies and Blossoms collection have begun circulating on Instagram. I'm gonna take a wild leap and say Plum Blossom and Sakura Cherry Blossom are gonna need to happen around my person very soon. So perfect for spring.

I will see you on Sunday with a drugstore/high-street beauty video!

  1. Sleep is the freaking best and cures all! I've had non-stop days at work that have left me extremely exhausted, but on that glorious day off, all I do is sleep and I instantly feel so much better. You just need to take time out for yourself to reenergise and once you push through it, I'm sure the yoga will help too! I really want to get into yoga eventually, so I may try this challenge everyone keeps talking about!

You are SUCH a babe, Tami. Seriously. I love you and I'm so glad you enjoyed my red lips post! I know we always talk about it on Twitter, but I really hope we actually do get to meet up one day. I really want to go back to England, but you definitely need to come to Australia too! If Brodie and I weren't enough of a reason, there's Sephora here now too and BITE BEAUTY! Yay!

So excite for your video on Sunday!

  2. I'm late in responding to this post, but I feel ya man. Since getting a job, the amount of naps I've taken has also gone up and I'm just too tired to blog anymore. I'm glad you liked my post though! STOP FINDING ME SO HILARZ, DAMNIT.

Just checked out Jessica's post and UGH, I MAY BE DECENT AT DECORATING A ROOM, BUT GETTING THE TABLE CLUTTER TO LOOK LIKE IT CAME FROM A MAGAZINE IS NOT ONE OF MY FORTES.
