It has been quite some time since I did a FOTD on this blog so please, be kind! I wanted to have a little play with some of the newer products from this haul, and to feed back some of the good stuff to you. I'll mainly be talking about MAC Velvet Teddy and the LORAC Pro palette, but all products are listed and linked below.

Let's start with the LORAC Pro - oh buddy. I really barely reach for anything else these days. These shades, particularly for summer, are just gorgeous. Shimmery, super-pigmented and very easy to work with, I took Champagne as a base colour and used it all over the lid. I then took Light Bronze (I think what this shade is to me is 'bae', but I might not be using that right) in the outer corner and blended Taupe (SUCH a beautiful matte blending shade) through the crease for a little depth. These shades and a MAC 217 and you won't go far wrong, trust.

MAC Velvet Teddy has been another no-brainer for me lately. I LOVE that this is a comfortable matte. Seriously, you can see the finish above, but this lipstick feels as comfortable to wear to me as Patisserie, which is a cremesheen finish. It's a beautiful nude, which leans just a touch more brown than pink, but definitely is pinker than something like MAC Spirit, which is quite a clear nude brown with no pink undertones. This suits my lips so well and is such an easy go-to for everyday, or for evenings when I want to do a heavy smoky eye and keep things simple and chic on the lips. For those inclined, I would imagine the matte texture of this would be good for filling in slightly over-pencilled lips, should you want to plump up your natural situation.

Products worn: Dior Nudeskin BB cream in 002, Laura Mercier Hydrating Primer, Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Diffused Light, Kevyn Aucoin Celestial Powder in Candlelight, Tarte blush in Exposed, Maybelline Lash Sensational, Kat Von D Tattoo liner in Trooper, NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer, Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil, LORAC Pro Palette, MAC Velvet Teddy
