As I write this it is grey and rainy outside, I've got a cuppa next to me and a candle burning beside that - a change in the seasons is happening, and I think all of us in the UK are pretty stoked about it. Hopefully if you're in the Northern hemisphere you've had a summer you've made the most out of, and are just as excited about the prospect of knitwear and boots as I am. Here are all of the things making me crave the cold!

I've been in the market for a long cardigan for a little while and Zara are just tops when it comes to their selection of knits. This oversized cardi is beautiful, available in so many colours and would look perfect over jeans or a dress and tights. Ideal. Also getting big-time feelings about this braided wool-blend sweater from & Other Stories - I love the simple, subtle design detail of this and I think it'd look fab over skinnies, much like these sulphur blue Jamie jeans - I LOVE the wash of these, and the cut is one I know suits me.

As far as tailoring goes, as soon as I saw this shirt dress from COS I knew it was the one that had to make it into my wardrobe this autumn/winter - that COLOUR though. It's just called 'red' on the website but I'm thinking this leans more towards a burnt terracotta. Come to mama. This blazer from Bershka also looks the absolute tits. The cut is long line and mensy, which I love for pairing with tailored slacks and loafers for work. Easy 1-2-3 office dressing for me.

Speaking of loafers, I'm quite into the backless loafer look, and these ones from Public Desire look as near as dammit to THOSE Gucci ones. Has anyone ever bought from Public Desire before? What's the quality like?

For perhaps more sensible autumnal footwear, I'm lusting after the Alfie buckle boots from Topshop - they're the perfect mix of tough and tongue-in-cheek. I also have deep, heartfelt feelings towards this Nora Crossbody bag from Oliver Bonas - my all time fav store. Having seen it in person I have to say - the leather is supple and well-structured, the bag is big enough for all your essentials and versatile. A totally timeless piece that I am HOLDING MYSELF BACK from grabbing before my Rome trip. Sobs.

Finally, I really dig this skirt from Arket, which is a new store from the H&M/& Other Stories/COS/Weekday mega-brand. The concept is simple but awesome - a stripped back clothing store which deals in set silhouettes in a variety of washes and fabrics. Gimmicky as you like, but the clothes look to be really well-made and well designed. Will report back if I pick up anything. And finally, what would one of my wishlists be without a Whistles piece? This embroidered sweat dress screams Sunday walks in my Ash boots with a leather jacket, doesn't it? Well, it does to me.

What shops on the high street are ticking all the boxes for you this autumn?

    1. Girl you know what to do! I just wish it wasn't £95. I have such a hard time deciding where my 'cut off' is when it comes to Whistles hahahah!

Aaah, great minds think alike! Thanks so much for reading and commenting, Katie. T xx
